We decided that decorating the plants should be a fun experience.
This was also when the terrarium was made before it was to be raffled off.
This video was made to doccument the process we were undertaking and to get a certain amount of interest in the terrarium.
THE CRAFTERNOON
The whole team spent the entire day cleaning and painting cans. As none of us are artists a lot of trial and error took place while learning how to paint the cans properly.
We settled upon using a primer followed by painting them white with aerosol canned paint. This was by far the most efficient method.
We took a break for a few days to allow the paint proper time to dry (wet weather really slows this down!).
When we came back it was time to fill all our containers with soil of which we had roughly 70 in total.
Finally we heading out to the great succulent plant in Kims front yard and began picking our offshoots and placing them into their awesome new homes ready to be found by some lucky people!
